MCMS Book Fair November 12-15, 2018 Come visit the Book Fair! MCMS will host the Fall Book Fair November 12-15, 2018, in the Media Center.
MCMS Thanksgiving Lunch MCMS students will enjoy Thanksgiving lunch on November 15, 2018. Parents are invited to attend but must RSVP in order for the cafeteria staff to prepare enough food. The cost for parents to attend is $4.00.
School closure update Mitchell County Schools/Baconton Community Charter Schools will observe the following schedule: Faculty/Staff will report to work on Wednesday, October 17, 2018. If there are issues or concerns that may prevent employees from returning to work, please contact your supervisor. Students will return on Monday, October 22, 2018.
MCSS Students and Employees Return on Monday-October 22 Mitchell County School System's students and employees will return on Monday, October 22. As of Saturday-October 20, Mitchell County Elementary School had no power; therefore, on Monday, the elementary school students/faculty will report to Mitchell County High School.
Schools Closed The Mitchell County School System (includes all dual enrollment students)/Baconton Community Charter School will be closed on Wednesday, October 10, and Thursday, October 11, due to inclement weather conditions. We will resume regular school hours on Friday, October 12.
7th Grade Cell Projects Seventh grade students completed models to show cell structure in Mrs. D. William's Science Class.
6th Grade Field Trip to Wetherbee Planetarium The sixth grade students enjoyed a wonderful trip the the Planetarium to culminate their studies on solar systems, moon phases, and astronomy.
