Mitchell County Middle School Principal
Crystal Grimsley

Grimsley

Dear Parents, Families, and Community Members,
It is with great excitement and honor that I introduce myself as the new Principal of Mitchell County Middle School! I am especially proud to serve in this role at a place that holds such a special place in my heart.  Mitchell County Middle School, a place where I was once a student, teacher, and assistant principal. To now return as principal is both humbling and fulfilling. I am thrilled to welcome not only our students, but also our families and community, as we prepare for an incredible school year together.

This year, our theme is simple yet powerful: One Voice, One Vision, One Victory! It reflects our collective commitment to unity, shared goals, and success for every student. To help bring our theme to life, our dedicated faculty and staff have been hard at work preparing to provide a learning environment that is safe, supportive, and academically rigorous. Our goal is to maximize the learning potential of all students while also fostering their behavioral and social development. This year will be filled with academic milestones, positive behavior celebrations, and social events; all of which play a vital role in the middle school experience.

At Mitchell County Middle School, students will have opportunities to explore their interests through clubs, athletics, student activities, and family engagement events. This is where they begin discovering who they are and who they can become.

As the proud leader of “The Middle,” I recognize the importance of collaboration across all levels. It is my mission, along with the faculty and staff, to build strong partnerships with our families, community members, district leaders, and fellow schools across the Mitchell County School System (Primary, Elementary, and High School). Together, we can ensure that our students are fully prepared for the 2025–2026 school year and beyond. I am committed to working with each of you to create a school culture where every student can thrive.

Again, I am incredibly proud to serve Mitchell County Middle School and look forward to a year filled with achievement, celebration, and unforgettable memories. If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me or any member of our Eagle Nation family.

With Eagle Pride,
Crystal A. Grimsley, Ed.S
Principal of Mitchell County Middle School
