MCSS Receives Certificate of Accreditation

The Mitchell County Board of Education has met the criteria for educational quality established by the AdvancED Accreditation Commission, the NCA Commission on Accreditation/School Improvement, the Northwest Accreditation Commission, and the SACS Commission on Accreditation/School Improvement.  Accreditation is vital in leveraging education quality and continuous improvement.  Using a set of rigorous research-based standards, the accreditation process examines the whole institution - the program, the cultural context and the community of stakeholders - to determine how well the parts work together to meet the needs of the learners.  The Mitchell County School System Certificate of Accreditation is valid through June 30, 2023.  Special thanks to everyone (MCSS’s faculty, staff, students, parents, MC Board of Education, and community stakeholders) for your support.
